Our Mission

ReSolve Europe is a non-profit organisation at the crossroads of solutions journalism, social innovation, and active citizenship. We aim to encourage and contribute to the development of a solution-oriented narrative on some of the most pressing challenges Europeans are facing today, focusing on:

Social and economic justice
Inclusion and diversity
Environmental responsibility

It is widely agreed that news coverage today is overwhelmingly negative and makes the audience feel powerless. Instead, we believe it’s possible to #solvethenews (our motto) and tell #thewholestory (as coined by the Solutions Journalism Network) to offer the public a more complete, hopeful and engaging view of the world and its challenges.

Concretely, we gather, curate and share ‘European solutions stories’ about actors and initiatives that have a positive impact. We work to establish connections and bridge the gap between media, field actors and the public to promote active citizenship and knowledge sharing around social and environmental issues.

We are convinced that focusing on the solutions is an essential step in fostering a stronger sense of empowerment and in helping us move towards more cohesive, fair and sustainable societies.
